SALINAS
‘SALINAS’©, 2016: Pre-Incan salt mines which are still functioning. Historically, salt was a valuable commodity, found only in certain areas. The site today is chock-full of cottage industries: many varieties of cheese (a business originally brought there by Italian volunteers), special chocolates, wool weavings, sausages y restaurants.
