The Moposita family is prominent in the village. Moposita is also a last name found in highland Indian communities, but here, no Quechua is spoken, people dress completely differently and there is not such a strong community influence. Segundo and his sister have passed away.

La familia Moposita es prominente en la aldea. El apellido se encuentra también en la comunidades indígenas del páramo, pero los habitantes de San Simón son mestizos. Segundo y su hermana ya son fallecidos.
